Education Scholarship Application Information
The Program:
- Several educational scholarships will be available to attend the WINDPOWER 2012® Conference & Exhibition.
- A committee of representatives from the American Wind Energy Association and the wind energy industry will convene to select award recipients.
- Award will cover the cost for main conference registration and some travel expenses for the WINDPOWER 2012® Conference & Exhibition.
- Awardees will be selected from those demonstrating the highest level of commitment to furthering their knowledge of the wind industry as communicated in the personal statement and personal resume.
Eligibility and Criteria:
- The award will be available to anyone interested in enhancing his or her knowledge of the wind industry. However, because Education Scholarships are being awarded, top priority will be extended to any full-time student, faculty/staff, or K-12 professional.
- Secondary priority will be extended to applicants already involved in the field of renewable energy, engineering, or another technology profession.
- Unfortunately, the scholarship program is not accepting applications from elementary, middle, or high school students. Those in this category are encouraged to apply when eligible in the future.

Attach application and personal resume to an email and send to education@awea.org with “Scholarship Application for WINDPOWER 2012” in the subject line by 11:59 PM ET, March 16, 2012. Applications received after that time will not be considered.
Winners will be notified by April 2, 2012. Please do not contact AWEA to inquire on the status of your application before this date.
