While other industries have seen a retraction of financing options due to the economic downturn, the U.S. wind industry shines as a bright spot for investment, seeing a compounded annual growth rate of 30% for the past 5 years. Expectations for continued growth in the U.S. and global wind industry create abundant opportunities for veterans and new entrants alike to increase their participation in the wind energy space.
New this year, AWEA held a Financial Analyst Day on October 13th. This half-day program was an optional event that had invited analysts from the financial community as well as workshop attendees to hear presentations from wind industry companies detailing investment opportunities within the wind market. At the end of the day, network at the workshop kick-off reception the evening of October 13th.
