Rep. Tammy Baldwin (WI-2)
Rep. Baldwin has voted for the PTC extension numerous times and is a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, which as jurisdiction over the RPS. In addition, she serves on subcommittees on Health, Energy and Air Quality, as well as the environment and Hazardous Materials.
Sen. John Barrasso (WY)
Sen. Barrasso has voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the energy and Natural Resources Committee and environment and Public Works Committee.
Sen. Max Baucus (MT)
Sen. Baucus sponsored the Production Tax Credit (PTC) and repeatedly voted for the PTC extension throughout 2008. Sen. Baucus is also the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and the Small Wind Investment Tax Credit (ITC). In addition, the Senator has introduced the “On-Farm energy Production Act” that is meant to help Montana farmers and ranchers cut their energy costs by installing windmills and other alternative energy devices on their land.
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (OR-3)
Rep. Blumenauer has continuously voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. In addition, Rep. Blumenauer sponsored the ITC bill, H.R. 1772 – the Rural Wind Energy Development Act.
Sen. Barbara Boxer (CA)
Sen. Boxer has consistently voted for the PTC extension and is a chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, which has jurisdiction over Climate Change legislation.
Rep. Nancy Boyda (KS-2)
Rep. Boyda has frequently voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the Conservation, Credit, Energy, and Research Sub-Committee. Rep. Boyda is a strong supporter of the Pickens Plan that proposes investing in power generation from domestic renewable resources such as wind energy.
Rep. Dave Camp (MI-4)
Rep. Camp is a ranking Republican member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. Rep. Camp is a supporter of wind energy development.
Sen. Kent Conrad (ND)
Sen. Conrad has supported the PTC extension in House votes and is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. During his tenure, Sen. Conrad has promoted wind energy on behalf of his constituency and twice introduced a 5 year PTC extension.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett (TX-25)
Rep. Doggett has continually voted for PTC extension and is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC.
Sen. Byron Dorgan (ND)
Sen. Dorgan has voted for PTC extensions numerous times and is a member of the Senate energy Committee and is the Chair of the Energy Appropriations Subcommittee, both of which have jurisdiction over the RPS legislation.
Sen. Dick Durbin (IL)
Sen. Durbin has repeatedly voted for the PTC extension and is the Majority Whip for his party. Sen. Durbin has been a staunch supporter of the Pickens Plan that proposed investing in power generation from domestic renewable resources such as wind energy.

Rep. English has voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC.
Sen. Russ Feingold (WI)
Sen. Feingold has repeatedly voted for the RPS, ITC, and PTC extension and is a strong advocate for wind energy.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (IA)
Sen. Grassley has voted in favor of the PTC extension numerous times and is the ranking member on the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over PTC and ITC. In 1993, Sen. Grassley authored the Wind Energy Incentives Act, which established the first wind energy production tax credit.
Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (SD-AL)
Rep. Herseth has repeatedly voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the House Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over siting issues.
Rep. Jay Inslee (WA-1)
Rep. Inslee has voted for the PTC extension numerous times and is a member of the House Energy Committee, which has jurisdiction over the RPS legislation. In addition, he is a member of the House Resources Committee which has jurisdiction over siting issues. Rep. Inslee is a strong supporter of The New Apollo Program which would invest $500 billion in 10 years for widespread development of the renewable energy industry including wind.
Rep. Steve Israel (NY-2)
Rep. Israel has continuously voted for the RPS, PTC, and ITC extension and is a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development. Rep. Israel has developed the “Next Generation Energy Initiative” a plan that allocates billions into research and development of renewable energies like wind.
Sen. Tim Johnson (SD)
Sen. Johnson repeatedly voted for PTC extension and is a member of the Senate energy Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS). The Senator is also part of the Gang of 20, a bipartisan group of Senators who work on national energy issues through which he has pushed for the long-term extension of the PTC.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN)
Sen. Klobuchar has continuously voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee, which has jurisdiction over Climate Change legislation.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (KY)
Sen. McConnell has voted for the PTC extension and is the Senate Minority Leader.
Rep. Gerald McNerney (CA-11)
Rep. McNerney, a former wind engineer, has continuously voted for PTC extensions and was a cosponsor of the House PTC and RPS bills. Rep. McNerney sits on the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK)
Sen. Murkowski has voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the Senate energy and Natural Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over the RPS.

Rep. Neugebauer’s district has more wind energy than all of California and is an ardent supporter of alternative energy.
Rep. Earl Pomeroy (ND-AL)
Rep. Pomeroy has consistently voted for the RPS and PTC extensions and is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. In addition, Rep. Pomeroy was a sponsor of H.R. 197, a bill to extend the PTC for an additional 5 years.

Sen. Pat Roberts (KS)
Sen. Roberts has voted for the PTC extension and is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. Sen. Roberts has also supported the Farm Bill which establishes new renewable energy programs that assists farm producers in installing wind turbines.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (NH)
Candidate Shaheen supports wind energy development in New Hampshire and believes that tax incentives are necessary to bolster the industry.
Sen. Gordon Smith (OR)
Sen. Smith has repeatedly voted for the RPS and PTC extension legislation and is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over the PTC and ITC. During his time in Congress, Sen. Smith has supported or introduced twenty-eight separate tax bills promoting alternative energy development.
Sen. John Thune (SD)
Sen. Thune has voted for the PTC extension and has held numerous meetings with wind industry representatives. In addition, Sen. Thune supports the creation of a type of interstate highway system for wind energy transportation that could resolve current transmission issues.
Rep. Mark Udall (CO-2)
Rep. Udall has repeatedly voted for PTC extensions and co-sponsored both the PTC and the RPS House bills. Rep. Udall is has been a lifetime supporter for the development of the alternative energy industry.
Rep. Tom Udall (NM-3)
Rep. Udall has repeatedly voted for the RPS and PTC extension and has advocated for wind energy development in his home state.
